Working Woman Prediction: Knowledge Managers Rise, Librarians Fall

An article in the February issue of Working Womansuggests that librarianship is one of 10 "not-so-hot" careers, but "Corporate Intelligence Officer or Knowledge Manager" is one of 10 rising careers. For the job of Knowledge Manager, the magazine acknowledges, a degree in librarianship can be "useful." As for librarians, the magazine reports that "smaller city, school, and college budgets will slow hiring."
