Library Receives $10k for AV

Stephen Vartanian has a long memory and never forgets a kindness. That's a good thing for the Baldwin Public Library, MI. In thanks to a librarian who helped him with a science project 30 years ago Vartanian has donated $10,000 to the library to buttress its AV collection. According to the Detroit News, December 28, the money will be used "to establish an endowment for the library and serve as a continuous source of support for the AV collection." A small facility, the library has a collection of 26,000 items and serves a population of 4200.
