APA Sponsors June Is Audiobook Month Celebration

Staff -- Library Journal, 6/8/1998

To broaden the number of people who regularly get an earful of the best of abridged and unabridged spoken-word recordings, the Audio Publishers Association (APA) has declared June National Audiobook Month. The goal of the campaign is to enlist the nation's librarians and booksellers to help spread the word about the ear-resistible joys of audiobooks by offering special displays of recorded titles in their stores and branches. APA has assembled a free information package featuring posters hailing the event, as well as tips on increasing the visibility and appeal of audiobooks; call 310-372-0546 for the packet.
