Senator McCain Aims To Filter Internet at Schools...What About Libraries?

If Senator John McCain has his way, any school that receives FCC-mandated telecommunications subsidies would have to find a way to "limit" access to indecent Internet material. It's unclear whether McCain aims to extend such limits to public libraries receiving telecom discounts, though others in Congress have discussed this. McCain, R-AZ, Chairman of the Commerce Committee said he plans to introduce legislation after the Congressional session begins Jan. 27.
