Library Journal Welcomes You to New Orleans!

Staff -- Library Journal, 1/10/1998

The American Library Association kicked off its 1998 Midwinter Meeting in New Orleans on the heels of receiving national recognition for its role offering parents roughly 700 kid-friendly websites. Last weekend Parade magazine mentioned ALA's web effort, and this morning ALA's collection drew kudos from a PC Magazine editor interviewed on the Today Show. Major issues to be discussed and debated in the next three days include: Outsourcing, filtering, as well as ALA's own election processes, including campaign funding. Enjoy the show, and check with LJDigital for the latest news and analysis at the show and in the field.
