Digital Reference Study to Begin

Staff -- Library Journal, 1/22/2001

In the emerging realm of digital reference, questions of quality and standards remain unresolved. An upcoming study by the Information Institutes of Florida State and Syracuse universities aims to change that. The study should begin March 1, pending receipt of adequate funding from interested libraries. OCLC has agreed to be the lead sponsor. Co-principal investigators for the study are R. David Lankes, Director, Information Institute, Syracuse University and Charles R. McClure, Director, Information Institute, Florida State University.
