Tallahassee Newspaper: "Policing the Internet Isn't the Library's Job"

"While the Internet has facets that are potentially harmful and, yes, offensive, it is also an extremely useful information tool. It is not the job of libraries to monitor and restrict how people use it," declared the Tallahassee Democrat in an editorial January 4. Protecting children from their own folly is still, at last report, primarily in the hands of their parents.
