Barbara Bishop has joined Inmagic, Inc. as Director of Product Management. She was most recently Vice President for Product Development at SilverPlatter.

Mary Rae Costabile has been promoted to Associate Director of the American Library Association's (ALA) Washington Office; she was previously Assistant Director. Elizabeth Dreazen was appointed Director, Office of ALA Governance, succeeding Emily Melton; Dreazen was Deputy Director of the Library Administration and Management Association, an ALA division.

Blaise Cronin, Dean of the School of Library and Information Science at Indiana University, has been named the James Rudy Professor of Information Science, a permanent position.

Maribelle Davis, Director of Libraries for the Plano Public Library System, TX, and the city's first paid librarian, has retired after 30 years; her successor is Joyce Baumbach, formerly Technical Services Manager.

Susan Farber has been named Assistant Director of Greenburgh Public Library, NY; she most recently directed the Ardsley Public Library, NY.

Zahra Kamarei was named Brauer Librarian and Andrew Ingham was named Systems Librarian/Assistant Head of Library Systems at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Brian Morrell has been appointed General Manager of Auto-Graphics Canada. He was most recently Manager of Bibliographic Services.

Sarah Pritchard has been named University Librarian at the University of California at Santa Barbara, effective April 28, succeeding Joseph Boiss, who retired last year. Pritchard is currently Director of Libraries at Smith College, MA.

Edell Schaefer, interim Director for ten months, has been named Director at the Brookfield Public Library, WI, succeeding Sonia Bielmeier, who retired after more than 35 years.

Tony Siciliano has been named Coordinator of Technical and Computer Services for the Des Plaines Public Library, IL. He most recently was Assistant to the Director of Northbrook Public Library, IL. Karen Wallace is the new head of Community Services; she previously was Outreach Librarian at the Park Ridge Public Library, IL.

Pat Swanson has been promoted to head the Charles White Branch of Onondaga County Public Library, Syracuse, NY; she was the Adult Services Librarian at the Petit Branch. Mary Frances Smyth and Robert Brown were recently promoted to Head of Public Services and Head of Support Services, respectively.

Norman Williams has been named VP of Sales at Yankee Book Peddler, Contoocook, NH; he was previously International Sales & Marketing Manager for Congressional Information Service. Jean Eaglesfield and Ann-Marie Breaux have been named Regional Manager for the Midwest and the Southeast Collection Management and Development groups.
