Poetry Book Commemorates Slain Student Matthew Shepard

Painted Leaf Press has just announced the publication of an anthology bringing together 80 poets' reflections on the tragic murder of Matthew Shepard, a gay University of Wyoming student. The contributors include such luminaries as John Ashbery, Alfred Corn, Marilyn Hacker, and Eileen Myles. Promising a portion of the proceeds will go to antiviolence organizations, the publisher set an April publication for Blood & Tears: Poems for Matthew Shepard (ISBN 1-891305-15-8. pap. $15).
