Sonny Bono Comeback

Pocket Books has ordered a 50,000-copy, mass-market edition of Sonny Bono's 1991 autobiography, And the Beat Goes On. Until it comes out, perhaps as soon as next month, patrons may be coming to libraries looking for the out-of-print title. A more political work that Bono had contracted to write, but hadn't completed at the time of his death, is to be finished by aides close to the Congressman. St. Martin's hopes to release that book in 1999.
